Oliver Spensley

After finishing A-levels, Oliver spent time working in the hospitality industry developing his skills in customer service and understanding the importance that comes from building relationships with clients.

In 2024 he decided that he wanted a changed from that industry and after spending time researching his options, Oliver decided that becoming a Financial Adviser was the the right path for him. The change in career means he would still get to interact with people but also have the opportunity to help them with their Financial Plans and Life Goals.

Oliver has joined the Technical Team at Penguin to begin his new career and we’re excited to support him on his journey to becoming a Financial Adviser.

In Oliver’s spare time he likes to go out to local micro pubs enjoying the local drinks and going to local music bars experiencing local acts.

1. What’s the craziest thing you’ve done?

 I don’t think I’ve done anything too crazy in my life, nothing of note anyway. 

2. What’s the best thing you’ve spent money on?

My car – I don’t have to worry about my old one dying on me mid journey. 

3. The worst?

Jackets that I never end up wearing. 

4. What’s your favourite book?

The long hard road out of hell. 

5. If you’re not working, where will we find you?

Either at home on the computer or at a pub.
