Client Relationship Team Supervisor
Before joining Penguin, Liz had nearly 30 years of experience in Operations and Quality, gained across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and software industries.
As a client for several years, she experienced Penguin from the client perspective and developed a strong appreciation for the company’s approach, values, and service. In her own small nod to Victor Kiam (for those of a certain vintage!), she was so impressed by the experience that, when the opportunity arose, she didn’t hesitate to seize the chance to join the team.
Liz brings structure, consistency and thoughtful planning to her Client Relationship role. Her organised, proactive approach helps ensure a smooth experience for clients and colleagues, keeping commitments on track and relationships strong.
Quickfire:
1. What’s the craziest thing you’ve done?
I was once airlifted by a Sea King helicopter from a ship in the Bristol Channel as part of a rescue exercise off Lundy Island. It was the height of summer…… windy, cold and a very choppy sea!
2. What’s the best thing you’ve spent money on?
Holidays and days out making memories with family and friends. And the money we paid the RSPCA for our gorgeous rescue cat, Stan.
3. The worst?
I am too frugal to waste money (my dad taught me well!)
4. What’s your favourite book?
The Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce, which I first read when I was about 11 or 12 years old. It’s the first book that I can remember that made me cry. It is the opening book in a trilogy, and I have re-read the books several times over the years.
5. If you’re not working, where will we find you?
Spending time with my husband, family or friends, sitting in the garden, out for a walk, or with my nose in a good book.
