Dan Herridge

Before joining Penguin, Dan spent over a decade running his own business as a self-employed electrician – an experience that instilled in him a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help others.

In 2017, a growing interest in personal Finance led Dan to begin investing and studying the principles of wealth creation, Retirement planning, and Financial independence. What started as a personal passion quickly became a calling. During his time on the tools, Dan found himself helping friends and colleagues trace lost Pensions and make sense of their Financial options, laying the foundation for his future career in Financial Planning.

Determined to turn that passion into a profession, Dan studied for and achieved his Financial Adviser qualifications while continuing to work full-time, before joining Penguin in 2023. Today, he works closely with individuals and families to help them build, protect, and enjoy their wealth — ensuring they can live life on their own terms, with confidence and clarity.

Outside of work, Dan lives by Penguin’s motto, “One Life, Live It Well.” He’s a keen scuba diver, enjoys jiu-jitsu and hiking, and takes every opportunity to travel and experience new cultures. Having lived and worked in Canada, Australia, Cyprus, Spain, and Greece, as well as travelled extensively through Southeast Asia and Mexico, Dan believes that stepping outside your comfort zone is key to growth.

Now engaged to his long-term partner, Dan is proud to have settled back home and to be helping others do the same – creating Financial plans that support the lives they truly want to live.

2. What’s the best thing you’ve spent money on?

It has to be travelling! Specifically, when I got to Scuba Dive in The Great Barrier Reef – those memories will last a lifetime.

3. The worst?

A few years ago, I bought shares in a company that had an unbelievable balance sheet. A month later – the share value halved!

Usually, spending time with my Fiancé and our Yorkshire Terrier called Lili – we love to camp and hike!
