Shaun lives our belief of ‘One Life, Live it Well’ by spending as much time as possible with his family and going away on holiday to his favourite destination the USA.
Family is a major part of his life. He lives in Cwmbran with his wife Bryony, and they are blessed with their daughter Molly, who was an IVF Baby – miracles do happen if you believe in them.
Shaun started his career in Financial Services with Lloyds banking group in 2010, in a non-advisory role and then became fully qualified in 2016. After taking redundancy from Lloyds in 2016, Shaun decided to go into the world of self-employment and ran his own practice until June 2021, when he decided to join the Penguin Team.
It was after meeting with Penguin he knew we all shared the same vision and values and wanted to be part of making Penguin the most recognised firm for great quality Financial Planning in South Wales.
Shaun’s passion is helping people make smarter financial decisions and he particularly enjoys supporting Business Clients through their personal and business journeys. He also gets great pleasure in helping the younger generation understand the need for a great Financial Plan.
He is a firm believer that good Financial Planning will help to enhance a Client’s life and his goal is to make Financial Planning mainstream – Shaun believes Financial Planners are the second most important profession!
As well as his Family and Penguin, Shaun has a love of all sports except cricket – he would rather go to the dentist. Football is his main passion and supporting Man United (for his sins). Shaun plays most sports, although family life has impacted most sporting activities along with injuries!
1.What’s the craziest thing you’ve done?
Convinced myself to go on a 335 foot rollercoaster when I was petrified of them. I am now addicted to them. True saying – greatness is on the other side of fear!
2.What’s the best thing you’ve spent money on?
IVF. We now have a beautiful daughter Molly who is the apple of my eye.
Purchased a fast-track ticket at a theme park and the park was empty! Wife was not impressed.
4.What’s your favourite book?
The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, just beat 10X Grant Cardone to the top spot.
5. If you’re not working, where will we find you?
In America or watching Manchester United play for my sins!
